Off-Campus Resources
The UHV Library offers off-campus access for faculty, staff and students of UHV and VC to many of our resources. The majority of journals are accessed through our databases and we also have ebooks, streaming videos, streaming audiobooks, reserves and other materials that are accessible from anywhere you may be!
Any restrictions are noted in the database descriptions. Contact us if you need help.
University of Houston-Victoria
UHV Students use their UHV student computer (Peoplesoft) accounts, which are setup for email, Blackboard, and computer lab access. The account must be activated before you can access library databases from off-campus. For more information about UHV Student Computer Accounts and instructions for activating the account, consult the UHV Information Technology Department's Student Services page.
Victoria College
VC Students use their BanSam (Pirate Portal) email account username and password to access databases off campus. Instructions can be found at the BanSam registration page. SAM accounts are created before the first class day and expire at the end of each semester. Email the VC Help Desk for assistance or call 361-582-2509. You must activate the account before you can access the library from off-campus. Students who are enrolled in any type of cooperative program with VC need to contact the VC Librarian.
