VC Students use their BanSam (Pirate Portal) email account username and password to access databases off campus. Instructions can be found at the BanSam registration page. SAM accounts are created before the first class day and expire at the end of each semester. Contact the VC Help Desk for assistance at 361-582-2509 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You must activate the account before you can access the library from off-campus. Students who are enrolled in any type of cooperative program with VC need to contact the VC Librarian.
UHV Students use their UHV student computer (Peoplesoft) accounts, which are setup for email, Blackboard, and computer lab access. The account must be activated before you can access library databases from off-campus.
