Laptops are available to checkout from the offices in Katy. You must be a currently enrolled student to checkout library materials. Laptops are due back the Friday before finals week each semester. Fines are assessed for late returns and a block will be placed on your UHV account if overdue. Damaged items will have a fine for replacement or repair.

You can schedule a Research Consultation with a librarian for more in depth research help. Consultations can be in person or through Teams. A librarian travels to Katy on a regular basis.
There is a library space in Katy with computers, wifi, copiers, printers, scanners, study space and helpful handouts on library research.
The Makespace in Victoria is happy to work with Katy students to submit jobs and have them sent to their campus.
The librarian can assist students with research in UHV library resources. You will need to log into the databases with your UHV student account.
Students who attend classes online or at remote locations may find a Texshare card will help you in your research. This card allows you to check out items from most public university libraries in Texas. Most libraries require our students to have both a Texshare card and a valid government issued ID. Students can complete the online application form for a Texshare card. The card will be mailed to the address listed on your student record.
Other UH System campuses will accept a valid government issued ID and either a Texshare card OR a current UHV ID card.

Interlibrary loan requests should be initiated through the UHV Library and can be picked up at the UHV office in Katy. Any reserve items that are not electronic will be available there also.
