The UHV Library has resources on finding and writing grants. You can find them by searching in our Catalog. You can get to our Catalog by going to our main library homepage and clicking on the Catalog icon.

Once you click on Catalog, you can try the following search terms to find grant material:

  • grant writing
  • grant funding
  • grant proposals
  • fund raising
  • research grants
  • grant-in-aid

Using Google

Google can be a helpful tool when trying to find grants. You can try searching for "grants" and your town or area, or you can get more specific with the type of project you are trying to fund. A Google search will usually pull up grant funders in your area and news articles promoting funding opportunities.

It's important to remember that not all organizations you find on Google will be trustworthy. Also, many scammers use grants as a way to get money and personal information. Here are some things to look out for when researching grants:

  • Never send money to organizations that ask for money in return for grant funding.
  • Grants are never given to individuals as a personal prize. Grants are only given to individuals or organizations that applied for them.
  • Educate yourself on the terms of the grant funding before you accept any funds.
  • Government agencies do not communicate through social media.
