Chatbots
There are many LLM's and Chatbots available. This is just a selection. The UHV Library does not recommend or endorse any of these resources.
You can log in to this chatbot with your UHV Microsoft account. If you login, your personal data is protected. CoPilot is the virtual assistant in the Bing Search engine and is available in the EDGE browser. When you are logged in, you should see the University of Houston-Victoria in a red box to the top left of the screen and Protected in green on the top right.
- ChatGPTDeveloped by the team at Open AI, ChatGPT is a large language model chatbot which uses AI to respond to data input by users in the form of questions or conversation. ChatGPT is perhaps the most popular chatbot at this moment and is constantly being updated to refine its output.
- PerplexityPerplexity defines itself as "an AI-powered conversational search engine that provides natural language answers to queries by summarizing information from web sources and citing them inline."
- ClaudeClaude is a chatbot which is marketed as a virtual assistant and can be used to provide open-ended answers, analyze complex data, and assist with daily tasks. Created by the company Anthropic, Claude is marketed as being extremely reliable and trustworthy by incorporating high levels of security and protections, such as copyright indemnity, HIPAA compliance, and jailbreak defense.
- Google GeminiGemini is Google's latest large language model. It replaces the Bard chatbot and the Duet AI service. There is a Gemini app for Android and can replace Google Assistant. On iOS, Gemini is in the Google app. Gemini was released in December 2023, features are still being released.
- Meta AIMeta AI is an "intelligent assistant" powered by LLama3 generative text model.
Image Generators
- DALL-EDALL-E allows users to create AI-generated images and art from a description using natural language processing. One of the most popular image generators. They claim to curb misuse by not allowing users to generate violent, adult, or political content.
- Stable DiffusionStable Diffusion allows users to create artwork using text prompt. They claim to be unique in that it can generate high quality images with a high degree of control over the output.
