Financial Literacy

Many people today aren't fully equipped to make informed financial decisions. Our financial world is so complex that it can be hard to stay ahead of the game when it comes to your financial future. Financial literacy is a movement that helps individuals learn more about the financial world and their place in it. This knowledge can empower individuals to make conscious and appropriate financial decisions.

UHV Library supports the financial literacy movement. This guide can help you find resources such as websites, articles, and tools that can help you participate responsibly in your financial situation.

Money Smart Week

Money Smart Week

UHV Library is a supporter of Money Smart Week. "Money Smart Week® is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. This is achieved through the collaboration and coordinated effort of hundreds of organizations across the country including businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, not-for-profits, government agencies and the media. These groups come together once a year to stress the importance of financial literacy, inform consumers about where they can get help and provide free educational seminars and activities throughout the week...The effort was created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2002. Partnering Organizations will host their events April 21-28, 2018."
