Dual Credit

A Guide to Library Services for Victoria College-affiliated dual credit students, faculty, and librarians.

Access the Databases

All VC students have access to the UHV library.

The databases are restricted to current students (including duel credit students) of VC.   In order to access information from the databases, the student must have their V-number and PiratePortal password available.

FAQ

What are the library hours?

We are open from 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  While the VC Library does not have weekend or evening hours, we partner with the UHV Library to offer students extended hours.  To see the hours of operation for the UHV Library click here

A student needs an article/book that the library doesn't have. How can I access it?

If a student finds an article or book that is not at the VC/UHV library, they can request an Interlibrary Loan

Does the library have computers for students?  What about printing services?

Yes, the library has 28 computers for students on the 2nd floor of the Library Building. To use the computers students will need to know their V# and PiratePortal login information.

We also have a student printer. Each Fall and Spring semester a student is enrolled there are two dollars placed on the student's printing account.  Students do not pay anything until the two dollars are used.  Each page costs $0.05 to print, letting the student print 40 pages each semester without adding additional funds to their printing account.
