ThingSpeak is an open-source Internet of Things application that among other things, can receive data from our humidity monitor and display it on a public web page. The free, non-commercial version has limitations as far as how much data can be uploaded and how often, but it suits our needs. After signing up for an account, follow the instructions below to set up the page where our data will be displayed.

  1. Click on "Channels"
  2. Select "New Channel"
  3. Give the channel a name and if desired, a brief  description.
  4. This channel will accept two values, humidity and temperature. Name one field "Humidity" and the other "Temperature". Make  note of the order. In our case Field 1 is temperature and Field 2 is humidity.
  5. Click on the API Key tab and copy down the Write API Key
