Join us for the Fall 2022 Explore Your Roar Workshop series! Each workshop will focus on a topic that will help a variety of students, researchers, and information seekers. This series is open to all UHV and VC students, faculty, and staff. Information about the specific workshops can be found below.

Research Basics

Date & Time: January 31st | 4-5 p.m.   Location: Teams

As the new semester begins, prepare yourself for your assignments and other research needs. This workshop will show you how to access the online resources available to you through the UHV Library. In this workshop you will learn what library services you can access online and how to find books, eBooks, magazine & newspaper articles, and scholarly articles.

Advanced Database Searching

Date & Time: February 10th | 5-6 p.m.   Location: Teams

Go beyond basic keyword searching to more advanced techniques that will help you make the most out of your research time. This workshop will discuss database alerts, Boolean search operators, database fields, citation chasing, personal accounts & more.
