Reliable Information about the Coronavirus
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization deemed the novel coronavirus outbreak a pandemic, which is defined as a "worldwide spread" of the disease. The coronavirus has begun to impact people around in the world and, in recent weeks, the United States. Finding reliable information can be tough at any time, but is even harder during times of heightened anxiety, fear, and panic.
It is more important than ever to make sure the information you are reading and sharing is from reliable sources that are not seeking to take advantage of this outbreak. Be on the lookout for people or companies trying to sell cures for COVID-19, as, currently, there are no known cures for the virus.
