What is Constitution Day?

Constitution Day celebrates when the 39 delegates of the Constitutional Convention completed and signed the Constitution of the United States on September 17, 1787. The Constitutional Convention convened in response to dissatisfaction with the Articles of Confederation and the need for a strong centralized government. --Primary Documents in American History (Library of Congress)
