UHV Library Mission:
The UHV Library is committed to anticipating and satisfying the information and research needs of the University of Houston-Victoria and Victoria College communities and supporting these institutions in their respective missions.
We will:
- Maintain and develop information and research services designed to reach all users
- Develop quality library collections and provide the best possible access to them
- Provide guidance and instruction in library skills and information literacy
- Provide a positive environment for study, research, and library operation
From the establishment of the University of Houston-Victoria in 1973 until 2019, the UHV Library served as a joint library with Victoria College in the VC library building on Ben Jordan street. In the Fall of 2019, the UHV Library moved into the second floor of the new University Commons student center.
The partnership with the Victoria College continues as UHV provides library service and resources to the VC community and the Victoria community at large. The VC Library also offers services to UHV and the community.
The UHV-Katy campus partners with UH to provide a Virtual Library for students of both schools.
