Foster Field has long since been a popular research topic in the area. Through numerous photo donations, the VRHC staff would like to welcome you to explore this photographic exhibit of life at Foster Field.
Foster Field was an Army Air Force Training Command base during World War II. Not only were U.S. military members trained here for pilot programs and gunnery school, but outside military groups also sent troops to be trained. The Mexican Expeditionary Air Force (the Aztec Eagles) trained at Foster Field and saw battle overseas.
Patrons may view the exhibit during operating hours of the UHV Library.
We are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the University Commons building at 3006 North Ben Wilson Street, Victoria, TX.
